Nicolas Arnouts · AI & full-stack engineer · Ghent, Belgium

T3CHNICO. Skip the agency. Work with the engineer.

T3CHNICO is the solo practice of Nicolas Arnouts, a senior AI and full-stack engineer based in Ghent, Belgium. One engineer takes your project from strategy to production with no handoff gaps: AI automations, AI agents and chatbots, full-stack web apps (Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL), and honest AI strategy. It is not an agency. You get senior engineering judgement directing a fleet of AI coding agents. Agency-grade work without the agency price tag, EU-hosted by default.

Anyone can generate code now; knowing what to build is the job. Code got cheap the moment AI could write it. Judgement didn't. Nicolas Arnouts does the senior work and directs AI agents on the junior work, accountable for every line, from the first call to production.

What I build

I point you at the cheapest thing that genuinely solves the problem, in this order.

Automations & integrations

n8n workflows, API integrations, the unglamorous plumbing that removes manual steps. The fastest return on investment there is, and usually where I tell you to start.

Good fit: You’re copy-pasting between tools every day.

AI agents & chatbots

Conversational AI wired into a product or an internal workflow. Agents that answer from your real data, take actions, and know when to hand off to a human. Not demos that impress once and break twice.

Good fit: A repetitive, language-shaped task is eating real hours.

Full-stack web apps

Custom applications built properly: Next.js, TypeScript, a real Postgres database, deployed and maintainable. The kind of software a team is glad to inherit.

Good fit: An off-the-shelf tool almost works, but never quite fits.

AI strategy

An honest assessment and a roadmap before any code. What’s worth building, what’s hype, what order to do it in. Sometimes the most valuable answer is “don’t build this yet.”

Good fit: Leadership wants AI but nobody can say what for.

How the work happens

Assess → Architect → Build → Launch & stay. Working software every week, not status updates. The work is done when it runs, not when it ships.

01. Assess

Before a line of code, I dig into your problem, your team, and the systems you already run. Half the value here is working out what NOT to build.

02. Architect

Design the solution and scope it honestly. The right tools for the situation, not the trendy ones. No over-engineering, no quietly cut corners.

03. Build

AI-augmented sprints. Working software every week, not status updates. You watch it take shape instead of waiting for a reveal.

04. Launch & stay

Deploy to production, hand over the keys and the knowledge, and stay reachable. The work is done when it runs, not when it ships.

Frequently asked questions

You’re one person. What if you get hit by a bus?

Structural, not heroic. I work in your repository from day one and document as I go, so the project is never trapped in my head. You own every line. Any competent engineer could pick it up and keep moving. One person should be a feature, not a single point of failure.

How can one person be faster than a whole team?

Because a team spends most of its day not building. The day goes to standups, handoffs, and getting back in sync. I do the senior work; AI agents do the boilerplate. One senior with zero coordination overhead instead of three juniors plus a project manager. Not magic. Just different math, and most agencies haven’t repriced for it yet.

Do you actually do the work, or subcontract it?

I do the work. The “team” is me and the AI agents I direct. No subcontractors, no offshore handoff, no junior learning on your budget. If we talk on Tuesday, the same person is in your codebase on Wednesday.

We’re not a technical company. Can we still work with you?

That describes most clients. You bring the business problem in plain language; I handle the translation into something that ships. No jargon walls. Non-technical clients often get sharper advice, because I’m the one accountable for the call.

What if we just need advice, not a build?

That’s a real engagement. Sometimes the most valuable thing I can tell you is “don’t build this yet,” and that answer is far cheaper here than three months into a build.
